Welcome to the new Camille Hempel Design + Craft platform — a more autonomous showcase and presentation space as I re-envision and realize objects (d’art + of function).

As we humans are feeling foundational shifts on macro and micro levels and nothing feels able to be nailed down, I've been practicing staying still and feeling what resonates. My creating and designing (as well as personal) process is ever distilling, refining. Intuition feels like a thing to tune in to more and more.

As a visually-engaged person, I'm also trying to be better at words and language!

And at listening! And always asking questions.  

What does it mean to get dressed?  

To ready for an occasion … to embellish/decorate/accessorize

to step out, to step up, show up, represent, to be seen, to feel heard, to be present.

To be helpful, to be okay. 

Jewelry to me, is a vehicle form for so much more…
