Chickens are really funny! It's a long story about why I'm spending two entire weeks at a kid camp in Oregon in the off season, but there are 15 hens and one rooster that need tending to. They are a funny crew, running around, and scratching around and sunning themselves when it is sunny. Hard to go back to store bought eggs when you've had fresh every day. I've collected from six to a dozen each day. And dyed some for Easter with homemade dye using vinegar and food coloring. I like how they turn out with the shades of brown. Until next time Chickens!
